Route Information
The
air route will follow a course avoiding major towns and cities, airports, aerodromes,
danger areas, military air training areas and sea crossings with the exception of the
Bristol Channel. The route will also be planned to maximise the use of motorways and trunk
roads by the Ground Support Teams. In very broad outline, the route will track from
Lands End via Bridgwater to Avonmouth, up the Welsh border to the east of Liverpool,
north to Kendal, east of Carlisle, east of Stirling, west of Perth and then following the
A9 all the way to John OGroats.
